Everyone should be able to enjoy golf in a safe environment. For 2022 we have met the standards set by England Golf to Safeguard the welfare of children and young people, as well as adults at risk, ensuring that all people have a fun, safe and positive experience in the sport of Golf.

Find a list of SafeGolf Accredited PGA Professionals by following this link and it should be noted that the list is updated at the start of each month. 

As part of Kent Golf's Safeguarding Policy & Procedures we require certain documentation to be completed before allowing any child to play in a County Match, Event or Competition or to participate in any open day or training.

Parents and their children should read the following documents:

• Kent Golf's Social Contract which replaces the Code of Conduct for Young Golfers
• Code of Conduct for Parents/Carers of Young Golfers
• Photography Consent Form
• Kent Golf Safeguarding Policy and Procedures Pack

The Annual Junior Player Profile is valid from 1st September to 31st August and has to be renewed annually.  

Kent Golf Safeguarding Adults

Kent Golf is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and positive environment for all individuals involved in golf. Safeguarding duties apply to an adult who: 

• Has needs for care and support (whether or not the local authority is meeting any of those needs) and; 
• Is experiencing, or is at risk of, abuse or neglect; and; 
• As a result of those care and support needs is unable to protect themselves from either the risk of, or the experience of, abuse or neglect.
